In 2016, as part of a wider culture change programme, we were engaged to address sustained pressure in the housing team: underfunding, resource gaps and rising demand were already harming wellbeing and resilience, with a need to build a longer-term, wellbeing-first approach into operational planning.
Bespoke NeuChem® resilience and leadership workshops. Use of Cari® to identify specific stress points and guide targeted action. Culture change work across logistical, physical, emotional and psychological needs, built into a plan of action and presented to the Board to secure organisational backing and resourcing.
When the Shepherd's Bush Green tower block fire happened in August 2016, the housing team were already practised in the resilience tools and had clearer awareness of their own wellbeing risks. They responded with confidence and clarity, maintaining service delivery during the crisis. The Board-level work also secured a longer-term, wellbeing-first approach to operational planning. This experience went on to inform MPC's crisis response with other councils the following year.
Honestly speaking, I found the bounce training informative, educational, thought provoking and mind blowing. In essence, the training was brilliant. I will surely be putting into practice what I learnt at the training in question. Please kindly forward my appreciation to the trainers.
